Rosthwaite

Rosthwaite is a small village that lies just off the main road that runs through the valley. There are a number of old whitewashed stone farm buildings in the middle of the village; there is also an inn and hotel and a small shop selling provisions and groceries. The location of the village has always been an important one – connecting the farms and hamlets further down the valley with the trading town of Keswick.
