North Lakes
The North Lakes and Keswick region is home to the stunning Borrowdale Valley with small hamlets such as Rosthwaite dotted along its length. There are a plethora of walks to be made in the area, For example along the River Derwent to Seatoller, or up the adjoining valley of Langstrath to Blackmoss Pot, a favourite summer swimming hole!
The lively market town of Keswick lies at the northern end of Borrowdale, with its wide range of specialist shops and parks to relax in, such as Hope Park. Derwentwater is only a five minute walk away from the town’s centre, where fine views of the lake and the ‘Jaws of Borrowdale’ can be enjoyed from Friar’s Crag nearby.
