Eden Valley & North Pennines
Bannerdale

Bannerdale is a valley which climbs out of Mungrisdale, the small hamlet situated round the ‘Back o’ Skiddaw’. This area is part of the Skiddaw/Blencathra range and is probably the least known part of the National Park. The rolling moorland fells ascend steadily from the flatter reaches of the Eden valley – up onto the isolated top of Blencathra (otherwise known as Saddleback).
