Carlisle city centre - Guildhall
Situated in the heart of Carlisle, the Guildhall is Carlisle’s third oldest building dating from around 1405. Explore the building and find items relating to medieval Carlisle including stocks, the town chest and two Elizabethan bells awarded as prizes at the local racecourse. These bells are thought to date back to the 16th century when bells and plates were awarded as prizes to the victors.
