Whitehaven - St Nicholas' Church

The remains of St Nicholas' church, which was largely destroyed by a fire in 1971, now houses a visitor centre and café. The grounds and gardens are well maintained and make a delightful place to enjoy in the sun. George Washington’s grandmother is buried in the churchyard.
