Haweswater

Haweswater is the most easterly of Cumbria's lakes and is in fact a reservoir that feeds the needs of Manchester. Perhaps the most enduring thing of interest relating to the lake is the village of Mardale which was flooded to make way for the reservoir, the walls of which still visible during times of extreme low water.
